Intuit has landed its twelfth consecutive ranking on Fortune magazine’s just-released list of “100 Best Companies to Work For in the U.S.” Intuit took the No. 22 spot.
Intuit was also highlighted as one of nine “social media superstars” in Fortune’s Best Companies coverage. This article gave shout outs to how we used social gaming, the @TeamTurboTax twitter handle where employees help our TurboTax customers, our employee online news site SNAP and our Yammer micro blogging site. In the “They’re Hiring” article, Intuit is recognized as one of the 25 companies on the list with the most job opportunities available.
The field of potential competitors for the Best Companies to Work For list is large. Any company that is at least five years old with more than 1,000 U.S. employees is eligible. Last year, Intuit ranked No. 19.
Judges base their selections on two components: an evaluation of each company’s policies and culture, and a confidential opinion survey of randomly selected employees. Two-thirds of the total score comes from the employee survey, which is made up of questions posed by the Great Place to Work Institute in San Francisco. It includes more than 50 questions and focuses on attitudes toward management, job satisfaction and camaraderie, and was conducted last spring.
